Preventive Dentistry
Even those who diligently take care of their smiles at home can fall victim to chronic problems that are invisible to the untrained eye. During your regular checkup, Dr. Mike Freimuth or Dr. Chase Lewis will carefully inspect your teeth, gums, bite, jaw, and other important structures with the help of digital X-rays and photos, looking for areas of damage or conditions that could lead to oral discomfort. Once our team has formed a complete picture of your oral health in Colorado, we can recommend possible treatments to correct any problems in a quick and effective manner.
Over time, plaque that’s left untouched by brushing and flossing can form hard, damaging deposits on your teeth called tartar. These deposits can’t be removed by regular methods once they form, which is why attending regular cleanings at ProSmile is so important. Our friendly hygienists will refresh your smile and leave your teeth feeling nicely polished.

Crown and Bridge
Tooth enamel is the strongest substance in your entire body, but it isn’t completely indestructible. Teeth can become damaged by decay, injuries, accidents, and more!
A dental crown is a custom-crafted “cap” that is made to precisely fit over the chewing surface of a damaged or weakened tooth above the gumline. The restoration can be made from a variety of different materials. Dental crowns are generally recommended for patients with the following situations:

- Broken Tooth That Requires Additional Support
- Tooth That’s Undergone Root Canal Therapy
- Severe Decay That’s Being Repaired with a Large Filling
- Dental Bridge Needing Support from Adjacent Teeth
- Severely Misshapen or Discolored Tooth
- Missing Tooth Being Replaced with a Dental Implant
Dental bridges are designed to replace teeth with false pontics connected to dental crowns on either side of them. This makes them adept at replacing several teeth that are located all in a row, right next to each other. Dental bridges are typically made from high-quality ceramics, affording them both durability and beauty. If you’re missing anywhere from 1-4 consecutive teeth, this tooth replacement option could be ideal for you.
Dental bridges are capable of doing a lot for people who are missing teeth. When you’ve lost even a single one, it’s possible for the teeth to shift in order to fill the gap, leading to serious alignment issues. This is in addition to a decrease in your confidence, difficulty with eating, and impacts on your capacity to speak with ease. Dental bridges are capable of addressing all of these issues with a single treatment.

Periodontics
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one out of every two adults in the nation suffers from gum disease. As one of the most prevalent oral health problems, we take this issue seriously. During each of your semi-annual checkups, we’ll examine your mouth closely, looking for any signs. If we find anything, we may suggest scaling and root planing, also known as deep cleaning.
This treatment allows our team to tackle the early symptoms of gum disease, such as bleeding gums, and keep it from causing permanent damage to your mouth. That way, you’ll be able to enjoy your natural smile for decades to come.

Dental Implants
Dental implants can dramatically improve the overall quality of your life, your confidence and your appearance. Your ability to chew and function. Restoring missing teeth with implants can restore your mouth back to health and function, rejuvenate your facial appearance by correcting the collapsed facial height that often occurs with missing teeth, and bring back your smile’s natural aesthetics.
If you have teeth that are missing, implants make it possible to restore them back to a beautiful, fully functioning set of teeth in a few visits.
While the process for dental implants may take a few months to complete, the end result and benefits make it well worth it. The process of having a dental implant done has three distinct steps:

While the process for dental implants may take a few months to complete, the end result and benefits make it well worth it. The process of having a dental implant done has three distinct steps:
1. Consultation - Your implant consultation is an essential part of planning your customized dental implant solution by using a 3D image of your mouth with our low-radiation cone beam CT (CBCT) machine, taking detailed digital images of your jaw and facial structure so that we can create a personalized surgical plan for you. In addition to discussing your unique needs and goals, we will review your medical history to ensure you are a candidate.
2. Surgical - The surgical placement of your implants is performed according to the detailed plan that Dr. Mike Freimuth created prior to surgery. During surgery, Dr. Mike Freimuth will create incisions within your gum line, place your dental implants within your jaw, and close your incisions to facilitate healing. We will take every measure to make the procedure safe and comfortable for you. In the weeks following your surgery, the incisions in your gums will heal. Over the next few months, your jaw will begin to osseointegrate or fuse with your dental implants. This process is important to the overall success of your implants. We will provide you with explicit instructions for facilitating proper healing.
3. Restoration - After a few months, once your dental implant has fused to the jawbone, you will return to have an impression taken of the implant. This will be used by the dental laboratory technician to create a precise connector and crown for the implant, matching your natural teeth color, shape, size, and bite. When you return to our office a few weeks later, we anchor the final prosthesis to the implants and complete restoration of the natural teeth. Dr. Mike Freimuth takes time at this appointment to get the fine details of your bite and smile feeling and looking great.
Endodontics
A root canal, also known as endodontic treatment, is a procedure designed to repair and save a tooth that is severely decayed or infected. During the procedure, the infected or damaged pulp inside the tooth is carefully removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected, and the tooth is then filled and sealed to prevent further infection. This allows you to retain your natural tooth and restore its function and appearance.
Root canal treatment is essential for individuals experiencing severe tooth pain, swelling, or sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures. By addressing these symptoms promptly, you can typically prevent the spread of infection and preserve your natural tooth. Choosing to undergo a root canal empowers you to take control of your dental health, ensuring long-term comfort and functionality.

Oral Surgery
If you are experiencing severe pain caused by a damaged tooth or advanced tooth infection, you may need to receive a tooth extraction. At ProSmile, we strive to help our patients preserve all of their natural teeth, which is why we only resort to extractions whenever it’s necessary to ensure the health of the rest of the teeth.
Many patients worry that the procedure is going to be painful. However, before the treatment begins, we’ll administer local anesthesia to completely numb the area. Using dental forceps, we’ll remove the damaged tooth to prevent problems from developing with your other natural teeth. After your procedure, we’ll provide you with aftercare instructions and discuss any follow-up appointments with you to ensure that you’re healing properly.

Fixed-Arch Implant Denture
Unlike dental bridges and traditional dentures that rely on either your gums or other remaining natural teeth, dental implants are designed to replace your missing teeth from the roots up. Not only will they provide optimal stability for your future restoration/prosthetic, but they can also help prevent the loss of jawbone density.
With a screw-retained, fixed arch implant denture, our team can use metal posts to place in the thickest parts of your jawbone. After your implants are properly fused to your jawbone, we’ll fit your abutments in place so that your denture can be secured in your mouth. Because of their secure fit, fixed-arch implant dentures feel much more comfortable and similar to your natural teeth. With implant-supported dentures, having to wear adhesive is a thing of the past!

Sedation Dentistry
Sedation dentistry offers a solution for those who experience anxiety or fear when visiting the dentist. By choosing sedation, patients can overcome their dental phobias and receive the necessary care they need to maintain optimal oral health. With sedation, procedures that once seemed daunting become manageable.
This approach empowers patients to take control of their oral health and enjoy improved overall well-being. ProSmile offers different sedation options, which we would be happy to discuss with you to ensure your experience at our office is a comfortable one!

Invisalign
At ProSmile, our team understands how difficult the journey towards achieving a straight smile can be. Thankfully, Invisalign is available as a faster and invisible alternative to traditional braces. This revolutionary orthodontic solution can help patients achieve the same beautiful results they’ve been dreaming of in a much more seamless fashion.
After taking impressions or a scan of your mouth and sending it to the Invisalign lab, our team will receive a set of personalized aligners made from clear, comfortable plastic. Each one is designed to represent the arrangement of your teeth as they slowly move toward their ideal alignment. Patients need to wear each aligner for at least 20-22 hours a day and remember to switch to the next one after one to two weeks of use.
Additionally, brief checkups with Dr. Mike Freimuth every four to six weeks will allow us to monitor your progress and confirm that the treatment is going along smoothly.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filling “bonds” with your tooth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth.
Tooth bonding can also be used for tooth fillings instead of silver amalgam. Many patients prefer bonded fillings because the white color is much less noticeable than silver. Bonded fillings can be used on front or back teeth, depending on the location and extent of tooth decay.
Bonding is less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and can usually be completed in one visit to our office. However, bonding can stain and is easier to break than other cosmetic treatments, such as porcelain veneers. If it does break or chip, tell your doctor. The bonding can generally be easily patched or repaired in one visit.
Veneers are another option to upgrade your smile. With veneers, you can easily correct your teeth’s imperfections to help you have a more confident, beautiful smile. Veneers are natural in appearance, and they are a perfect option for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile.
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells made from tooth-colored materials (such as porcelain), and they are designed to cover the front side of your teeth. To prepare for veneers, we will create a unique model of your teeth. This model is sent to the dental technician to create your veneers. Before placing your new veneer, we may need to conservatively prepare your tooth to achieve the desired aesthetic result.
When your veneers are placed, you’ll be pleased to see that they look like your natural teeth. While veneers are stain-resistant, we may recommend that you avoid coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco to maintain the beauty of your new smile
